Why Take Daily Supplements?

As I had mentioned before I thought I would share what I am doing as a supplement on a daily basis and why.  I have been doing this for 3 months now and I feel very confident about it.  Besides, I have done a lot of reading on these subjects.

        Omega-3:  highly purified EPA and DHA fatty acids.  This product has been purified to eliminate all mercury and other fish toxins.  I take it in a liquid form.  You must keep it in the freezer.  It does not freeze and this keeps it from oxidizing.  The DHA works on your neurological system with special help with memory and fending off neurological diseases such as Alzheimer’s.  Over the next several years, only more and more information on this will become mainstream.  The EPA helps on all cells other than neurological to keep inflammation low.  Basically it in combination with the antioxidants keeps the surrounding of every one of your 60 billion cells functioning without being toxic or inflamed.  Up until now, EPA has been recommended for helping in heart disease and it is doing it through the mechanism I just mentioned but it is really doing this all over your body.  You can’t get enough EPA and DHA from commercial Omega-3 capsules that have not been purified without getting toxic levels of mercury.  So if you are interested, buy your Omega-3 liquid at www.drsears.com.  It also comes in capsules but you need to take nine and a teaspoon of the liquid is easier and tastes fine.

        Baby Aspirin:   81 mg. a general anti-inflammatory that everyone should take.  I buy the coated pill and take one per day.

        Vitamin E:  200 mg. very active antioxidant moving waste product to the blood stream so the liver and kidney can eliminate them.

        Vitamin C:  another great antioxidant and immune booster.  I take 3 - 250 mg. lozenges or pill one in the morning, one at noon, and one at mid-afternoon.  Vitamin C burns up very rapidly so it is important to spread it out all day. 

       Multivitamin:  I take one pill per day.  Make sure it has 200 mcg of Chromium it helps fuel your cells with energy.  I use One-A-Day Weightsmart brand. 

       Co.Q 10:  great antioxidant that helps in maximizing the energy that powers your cells (ATP).  I take 30 mg. per day (one capsule).

        Extra Virgin Olive Oil:  at least 2 teaspoons a day one in the morning and one in the afternoon or evening.  Has polyphenols the most important step in the antioxidant removal process.  It also contains its own anti-inflammatory process, thanks to a chemical called hydroxytyrosol.  Olive oil is an incredible product

.        Black berries:  10 per day, it has great amounts of polyphenols.

        Minimum of 4 servings of other colored fruits and vegetables—other types of polyphenols

        Yogurt:  with active and multiple bacteria culture (like Serious Yogurt).  At least one 8 ounce serving per day.  Best aid in digestion and an incredible immune booster.  Remember, a large part of our immune system is in the intestinal wall.

        Metamucil:  1 tablespoon in the morning, great source of fiber, helps me feel full together with the other fiber in my breakfast.  It has about 3 grams of soluble fiber that is very heart healthy.  Besides, the insoluble portion of the fiber will keep you well cleaned out removing all intestinal toxins and no constipation. 

The combination of all of the above is helping you fight silent inflammation that is the underlying cause of heart disease, cancer, diabetes, neurological disease, and arthritis.  You will notice a difference within weeks and if you combine all of this with our healthy diet, you will thoroughly enjoy every day.  Oh—but you need to walk to really make it work.
