- Registration – The first time you come to the website you will want to register. Click on the “Register” button. Fill out all the information on the Registration page. Type in a user name or nickname you want to be known as. Your USERNAME must be between 3-32 characters and must start with a letter. Your PASSWORD must be from 4-32 characters long.
Both your USERNAME and your PASSWORD are case sensitive. When you are finished Click “Register” at the bottom of the Registration page. - Log In – Back on the first page. Log In by typing in your username and password.
- Remember Me – If you check “Remember Me” the next time you come back to the website using the same computer it will remember you and take you directly to your Home Page. If you try to Log In on any other computer you will have to log in with your username and password.
- Home Page – Under “My Updates” Click on the message “Start Here” and this will take you to the “My Stats” Page.
- My Stats Page - Fill in as much starting information as you have and Click the “Save” button at the bottom of the page. Select “Click Here to Return Home”. If you don’t have all the information now you will be able to come back and add more later. If you are an “Early Starter” and got started before you registered on the website - enter your current information on the website and then email your “Early Start” information to: 1000poundclub@sbcglobal.net.
- Back on the Home page – You will see that the message under “My Updates” has changed. Clicking “Update Now” will take you to the “Daily Update” Page.
· Daily Update Page - Here is where you can fill in the information for the meal calories you consumed and the exercise you completed for today.
· Select a Meal. - Click on a Meal Tab, start with “Breakfast” and then Select or enter the calories for that meal and then Click on “Save”. You must Click “Save” after each menu selection and it will take you to the next meal. You will see the next meal tab change color. Repeat the process for all meals and exercise.
· Enter Food Items and Calories – Click on the pull down menu “choose one” and select one of the following methods for entering your calories:o Select “Meal from the Menu” and Click either the “Quick Menu” or the “Sample Menu”. The “Quick Menu” gives you a brief description of the Menu Items. The “Sample Menu” gives you a more detailed description of Menu Items. You can scroll through the entire list of Menu items and choose any item for any meal. For example, you may have a Chicken Salad for dinner so just Select the Chicken Salad you find under “Lunch”. You can also choose “Plus” meals which simply means you ate a little bit more or added something to the meal like extra bread or a glass of wine. These are estimates so just Click the menu item that is closest to what you ate.
o “Skipped This Meal” or “I don’t Remember” will enter zero calories.
o If you ate something that is not on any of the Menus, Select “My Own Meal Journal” this will open up the Journal page.o “My Own Meal Journal” - On this page you can:§ Type in any food item and calories into the journal list.§ Search a complete database for most any food or menu item as well as search on some fast food restaurant menu items. Complete the search, select the appropriate calorie count and add this to your Journal list.§ The calories in the Journal list will add up automatically. Clicking ”Save” will enter those calories into the appropriate meal. At any time before you Click “Save” you can change the item or the calorie count in the list.§ Once you have added items to your “My Favorites” list you can easily add them to your daily Journal by Selecting that item and Clicking on “Add to Journal”.§ Save individual food items or groups of food items to your “My Favorites” list by selecting the item or items in your Journal list by checking the box in front of the item. You can save individual items or you can save groups of food items and give them a unique name such as “Jack’s Chicken Salad”. o Always Click “Save” after every meal entry and it will advance you to the next meal.· Making Changes - If you want to go back and make a change in a meal. Just Click the Meal tab to return to that Meal. Change your selection and then Click “Save” again.
· Exercise – Click the number that best estimates the amount of calories you think you burned during exercise or check the “Activity Chart” next to “Enter My Own” to see a list of different exercises. This "Activity Chart" is only for reference so after looking at the Chart you must close it, go back to the Exercise page and then type in the number of calories in the blank field next to “MY Own”. · Water - Enter the number of 8 ounce glasses or water you drank.· Supplements – Check if you took a multi-vitamin, Omega3 or Calcium. · Click “Save” ” when you are finished. Select “Click to Return to Home Page” · The Calendar Icon – If you want to enter or change a Meal or Menu information for another day Click on the calendar icon and select the day you want to view or change.UPDATES
- Waist and Weight Updates - Once a week, on Sunday, you will find a message under “My Updates” that will prompt you to update your waist and weight measurements.
- Stats Update - Once every six months you will find a message prompting you to update your stats with regard to blood pressure, cholesterol, etc.
- At any time you can Click on “My Updates” tab to view your update pages.
· Exchange Ideas – Click on “Exchange Ideas” and you will find a discussion area for members. Here you can have virtual conversations with other members, share ideas, recipes and ask questions.
